The objective of this work is to perform research and analysis to develop, disseminate, and improve evidence-based knowledge products and interventions (e.g., resilience and suicide prevention/intervention training, coach education training, and quick guides) to optimize service member readiness, performance, well-being, and resilience and support the dissemination and implementation of these knowledge products. Responsibilities
General Responsibilities :Conducts research and development activities in support of behavioral health efforts for the military. Responsible for designing and conducting experiments and program evaluations, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and writing technical reports and manuscripts. Expected to travel to military installations for data collection. Knowledge of research design, statistical software packages, and proposal writing required. Knowledge of writing curriculum related to psychological resilience and generating training modules for military audiences. Expected to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and co-workers, assist with implementation of initiatives, and provide consultation as needed. Takes the lead on projects and functions as a principal investigator and is accountable for the execution of protocols.This role includes developing novel research protocols and program evaluations, designing studies and evaluations using rigorous methods, executing data collection and analysis, and developing training curricula and tools.
Qualifications
Recommended : a doctoral degree in Behavioral Science or related field and a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. Experience with military populations preferred.
